Imagine California
The Imagine California show will open on October 9 and run through November 20. Please enter work that expresses your interpretation or impression of the culture, people, politics, or landscape of California. Different media are welcome – painting, sculpture, mixed media, and photography. We hope to gather a body of 2D and 3D work that presents a varied, diverse representation of California and inspires discussion about the California experience. Juror: Philip Linhares, Chief Curator of the Oakland Museum. The last day to enter is Sept 26. We invite you to come to the reception on October 9 at the gallery in downtown Danville.

National Juried Photography Exhibition Focus 2011
The National Juried Photography Exhibition Focus 2011 will open on January 29. This exhibition is open to both film and digital photography. Black & white work and color are both eligible. The 2010 photography exhibition featured a diverse array of works made in different styles and techniques. The juror, Drew Johnson, Curator of Photography-Oakland Museum, selected several young artists and many well-known veterans for the 2010 show. The 2011 open photography exhibition will be judged by another prominent member of the Northern California photography community.
